Older chests reveal themselves
Like a crack in a wall
Starting small, and grow in time
And we always seem to need the help
Of someone else
To mend that shelf
Too many books
Read me your favourite line
Papa went to other lands
And he found someone who understands
The ticking, and the western man's need to cry
He came back the other day, you know
Some things in life may change
And some things
They stay the same
Like time, there's always time
On my mind
So pass me by, I'll be fine
Just give me time
Older gents sit on the fence
With their cap in hand
Looking grand
They watch their city change
Children scream, or so it seems,
Louder than before
Out of doors, and into stores with bigger names
Mama tried to wash their faces
But these kids they lost their graces
And daddy lost at the races too many times
She broke down the other day, yeah you know
Some things in life may change
But some things they stay the same
Like time, there's always time
On my mind
So pass me by, I'll be fine
Just give me time
Time, there's always time
On my mind
Pass me by, I'll be fine
Just give me time
But they don't want you marching in the streets. They'd much rather you just stay home.
The Global Orgasm for Peace was conceived by Donna Sheehan, 76, and Paul Reffell, 55, whose immodest goal is for everyone in the world to have an orgasm Dec. 22 while focusing on world peace.
"The orgasm gives out an incredible feeling of peace during it and after it," Reffell said Sunday. "Your mind is like a blank. It's like a meditative state. And mass meditations have been shown to make a change."
The couple are no strangers to sex and social activism. Sheehan, no relation to anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, brought together nearly 50 women in 2002 who stripped naked and spelled out the word "Peace."
The stunt spawned a mini-movement called Baring Witness that led to similar unclothed demonstrations worldwide.
The couple have studied evolutionary psychology and believe that war is mainly an outgrowth of men trying to impress potential mates, a case of "my missile is bigger than your missile," as Reffell put it.
By promoting what they hope to be a synchronized global orgasm, they hope to get people to channel their sexual energy into something more positive.
The couple said interest appears strong, with 26,000 hits a day to their Web site, www.globalorgasm.org.
"The dream is to have everyone in the world (take part)," Reffell said. "And if that means laying down your gun for a few
minutes, then hey, all the better."

Inhale.
Life in its purest form
Gliding through the veins
Forever following the echoing beat
Of the distant heart.
Protected behind its fortress of ribs.
Inhale.
Life of a carnal sort
Sliding up the spine
Seeking the compelling thoughts
Of the mysterious brain.
Yearning to escape its scalped prison.
Inhale.
Life of the aging kind
Creeping through the skin
Carefully whispering the tales of time
Onto the wistful body.
Grasping each and every of life’s Breath.
clemson game tomorrow...GO NOLES!!
i forsee a long lasting relationship.
Two years in a row..and Tally was on fire last night.
Went to a party with a live band, 3 kegs, coolers of hunch punch, margaritas and fireworks for celebration.
Oh College.
After that wonderful fiesta I came back home only to find a party going on downstairs in the pool. Keg was tapped, war chanted well..chanted, and FUCK MIAMI ringing in the air.
Craziness ensued..and boy do I love Football season!
I have to be up at 8 tomorrow and I can't get myself to close my eyes.
oh well.
They took my computer away *tear*
I feel like I'm missing an appandange.
She dances
Faintly
Amidst the overwhelming twilight.
In the corner of an eye
Beneath the glare of the moon
Resides the unattainable outline
Of a dimly painted galaxy.
Life breeds under her heavy gaze
And swells above her palm
As she exhales the constellations
In her dance of creation
So Russia is the host of G8 this year. I say go Russia, the Cold War is over and they are a valuable ally, and not even because they have the second largest oil export after Sudia Arabia. In a time when everyone is bullying everyone for one thing or another it's good to see that Russia could call it like it is.
Article from BBC, comments by Ashley
Oh and before you start calling me a Red Blooded Commy or something, I know Russia has it's faults. They hold meetings with Hamas and are bullying Ukraine, but hey..atleast they recognize they aren't perfect.

Russian President Vladimir Putin
has accused Western critics
of Russia's record on democracy of using
"colonialist" rhetoric.
In TV interviews, he said it was unacceptable for the West to use the issue to interfere in Russia's affairs. He singled out US Vice-President Dick Cheney, who earlier this year accused Mr Putin of backsliding on democracy. Pro-democracy campaigners have been pressuring the West to raise the issue at a G8 summit in Russia this weekend.
'Same logic'
In wide-ranging interviews to French and US TV channels, Mr Putin gave an assessment of Russia's role in the world and its progress in building democracy.
Talking to France's LCI television, which translated his remarks, Mr Putin accused critics in the West of using Russian "colonialist" language towards Russia.
"If you look at newspapers of 100 years ago, you see how, at the time, colonialist states justified their policies in Africa or in Asia. They talked of their civilising role, of the white man's mission," he said. (Sad but true)
"If you change the word 'civilising' to 'democratisation', you find the same logic, you can read the same things in the press today." (Bush, sweetie, it's not the enviornment that cyclical, it's the foreign policy. Pick up a history book..please.)
Mr Putin also said Moscow was ready to listen to "well-intentioned criticism", according to a transcript of his interview with NBC released by the Kremlin. (At least somebody is...cough Bush cough.)
Pointing to the fact that he was elected directly by the Russian people, he asked how that can be seen as undemocratic. (Hey we do that too! Oh wait...nevermind...sorry Gore.)
But he stressed that Russia would "categorically object to using all possible levers, including the idea that our society needs democratisation, for interfering in our internal affairs".
He called Mr Cheney's criticism of Russia's record "a failed hunting shot". (OH SNAP!)
Mr Putin's remark apparently referred to errant shot by Mr Cheney during a hunting trip on a ranch in Texas in February.
We've been dubbed the Myspace generation, the New Silent Generation, viewed upon by the general public as a group of unaware adolescents who walk around with their iPod headphones on, ignoring the world around them. It's like we fed are brains to our keyboard and forgot how to Sign Off. I'm not preaching, I'm pissed!
I'm pissed because I've fallen victim to this addictive fallacy of reality known as "social networking" just as much as everyone else has. I log on once a day (if not more), post blogs, write on walls. Hours of my day are consumed by these mindless tasks. Poking and tagging, going on a road trip of links until I look at the clock and ask "how did it become 3 in the morning and who are these people in these pictures?" We've all done it, don't lie.
Then, like a child waking to a slap in the face the horrific words flashed across the computer screen

At work all day, sitting in front of a computer where myspace and AIM and facebook just don't exist. Needing something to pass the time I stumbled onto a few gems that led me to post this: BBC.com, NYtimes.com, Climate Crisis, The UN and numerous others. I'm no stranger to the news. CNN is usually the only channel on in my house, but American press is, well American and bias and I know I watch it looking for the angle or the propaganda.
These sites though, (I know the NYtimes is American, but any publication that has the balls to tell the truth in an age of secrecy gets my vote) depict the state of the world without apology. Go learn something, go find something that makes you angry, be it the tapping of phone lines or the monitoring of bank or Global Warming or the Sudan Genocide, and speak out!
In these times of turmoil, I refuse to be dubbed Silent.
We've become this jaded version of what we used to be. Now you can sit next to someone on a bus for 6 hours and not a word will pass your lips, you can work at a place all summer and not even know everyone's name. Did life and harsh reality really force us to look at everyone as suspect? Has our fear of being hurt close the door on meeting anyone at all?
The one thing that shocked me about college was how open people were, how after just a few short conversations their name was programmed in your cell phone and you were inviting them to lunch. It was like college was this huge playground we entered on our own and everyone was eager to have someone to play with.
I've come back to the big city though, and like most things these days, it's not friendly. Everyone has their group of people, their niche in the world, and few are looking for additions. We live in a fast pace world, and everyone has their guard up.
This summer is different though, at least for me. I, personally, blame college. It seems my guard forgot to re-build when I crossed Miami's boarder. I find myself without a niche, without a group, and more of a wanderer.
I've spent this summer reacquainting myself with old friends, making new ones, and crossing high school bull shit lines. Drifting in and out of groups of friends, never settling...and it's opened my eyes. Everyone has something to give, something to share, all you need to do is let down your guard, leave your comfort zone, and ask.
